It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

My friends, it’s the best time of the year! Opening Day has come and gone, but now baseball season is in full swing! For those of you who are new to me, this will serve as a warning. I’m one of the biggest Red Sox fans you’ll ever meet. Along with being a crazy fan, I also am an employee on the day of game staff at Fenway Park (along with the boyfriend, who happens to be a Yankees fan…).

Anyway, I’m excited to get back to work on Monday for Fenway’s Opening Day. I’m also super excited because Thom and I got tickets for this weekend to see the Red Sox play in New York against the Yankees! It’ll be our first game together that we can actually watch and both care about the outcome, as well as cheer for our own team.

Also, feel free to check out my Red Sox blog which I have been slacking on lately, but promise to work on more this year!

Do any of you watch baseball? Who’s your team?

Liebster Award Nomination

The ever so lovely Kacie has nominated my blog for a Liebster Award! I’m excited to accept, but since I don’t follow many blogs religiously yet, so I don’t have anyone to nominate. This will be a running post that I’ll edit periodically whenever I see a blog that I love following.

Here are the questions I was asked, along with my answers:

1. Where would you love to have a vacation home?
Oh my gosh, probably anywhere in Europe- most likely in Germany or Sweden!

2. What’s your favorite color combination?
I love colors and the more the better! I love greens and blues together, but I also love pink with anything! Oh, and sparkles!!

3. What is one of your guilty pleasures?
I don’t usually feel guilty about things I enjoy, but I would consider Pretty Little Liars high up there in something I should feel guilty about watching!

4. Whose style do you wish you could copy?
I love Taylor Swift’s style so much and wish I could copy it! She has legs for days and I’m just too short and round, haha.

5. What do you do when you aren’t blogging?
I watch baseball and go to a lot of concerts. I love baking and reading, too! I work as a preschool teacher and at Fenway Park!

6. What’s your current favorite TV show?
This could go on forever. I love Hannibal, Revenge, Scandal, The Following, and Pretty Little Liars!

7. What was your favorite game as a child?
I don’t really remember, I don’t remember playing a lot of games other than like House and stuff.

8. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
     Cannolis!

9. Which season is your favorite?
I love all of them except Winter, but even that looks pretty. I guess Spring because that’s when baseball starts!

10. What book could you read over and over without getting tired of it?
The Unlikely Romance of Kate Bjorkman!

Oh look, Jess has another blog.

So here I am again, at the start of yet another brand new blog. I’ve been blogging since I was about 15 years old, starting with good ol’ LiveJournal and TeenOpenDiary. Flash forward almost 15 years and I’m here with three different WordPress blogs. My Red Sox Blog which you can find here was very active until this baseball season, mostly due to my work schedules and a horrible season for the team. I also ran an anonymous blog about my dating life, but since entering a long term relationship at the beginning of the year, that’s been pretty much dead. I have helped numerous start up companies with their social media strategies, even running the blog for one. When the company didn’t launch, I stopped the writing.

I really enjoy expressing myself through writing, even if I’m not all that great at it. I like having diaries and a place to just air my thoughts and even get some feedback. I was rolling around the idea of starting a new personal blog. I didn’t, and still don’t, have a direct focus for the blog, but that’s pretty much how my life is, too. I figured, why not just have a Jess-Blog? I’ll fill this up with photos of my lack of style (and maybe get some advice!), my super creative baking recipes, and all my misadventures that I have. You’ll either like it or you won’t, but either way, I have a new outlet for my brain.

So, there it is!
